Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in healthcare registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions.
• 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families to address questions and provide courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulate schedules based on procedure requirements, physician availability, and staffing needs.
• Schedule patient procedures and pre-register by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and capture correct health insurance details; obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect and record patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable.
• Communicate operative reports daily to appropriate physician offices.
• Compile and organize documentation for complete patient medical records.
• Prepare charts for upcoming procedures and maintain registration forms.
• Maintain medical records system by filing charts and coordinating storage.
• Respond to requests for medical records promptly; answer and return calls with professionalism.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
