Job summary

Reedley College is seeking an Office Technology Instructor for its part-time faculty pool. The college serves a diverse student body and is committed to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related experience.
• Associate degree and six years of directly related experience.
• Valid California Community College credential.
• Equivalent education and/or experience (when an equivalency is obtained).
• Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics and staying current in teaching Office Technology.
• Teaching classes in computer basics, general office procedures and general computer office applications.
• Teaching medical office administrative procedures such as coding, billing and medical filing.
• Supervising a Windows-based computer lab as an instructor.
• Using a variety of pedagogies and integrating a wide range of instructional delivery systems, including innovative and creative uses of technology for face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
• Communicating effectively with students.
• Using effective teaching methods appropriate to the subject matter and adhering to institutionally approved curriculum course outlines of record.
• Evaluating student progress through tests, examinations, written assignments and oral responses in keeping with course objectives.
• Providing course syllabi to students.
• Maintaining classroom records in accordance with District Policy.
• Submitting all required student grading and evaluation reports on time.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related experience
