Job summary

Excelsior University is seeking part-time clinical instructors to lead nursing clinical experiences, provide prompt student support, and deliver timely feedback. Instructors coordinate patient assignments and supervise student learning across clinical sites.

The role includes weekend clinical days, competency demonstrations with EHR and pumps, and participation in pre-/post-clinical activities within Canvas LMS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or BSN with active enrollment in a master's/doctoral program in nursing.
• Active NYS RN license.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience in varied clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Complete institution-sponsored training.
• Fulfill all policies in the Clinical Faculty Handbook.
• Work 2 non-consecutive weekends during an 8-week term (Friday 6 hours, Sat/Sun 24 hours).
• Remain present for entire clinical day.
• Coordinate patient assignments for each student.
• Demonstrate nursing skills and use related technology.
• Complete facility training and LMS activities.
• Conduct synchronous Zoom sessions with students.
• Provide evidence-based examples and feedback.
• Complete clinical evaluation rubrics for each student.
