Job summary

Excelsior University seeks part-time clinical instructors to guide nursing students within scheduled courses. Providers will use prepared materials and activities to focus on student needs, deliver timely feedback, and demonstrate clinical expertise through supervising and evaluating student experiences.

Successful candidates complete mandatory training, schedule and supervise weekend clinicals, and collaborate with instructional faculty and support staff to ensure access to resources that

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or BSN with active enrollment toward a master’s/doctoral degree in Nursing.
• Active, unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in varied clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Complete institution-sponsored training.
• Fulfill all requirements and adhere to policies.
• Work 2 non-consecutive weekends at a clinical site during an 8-week course term.
• Remain present for the entire clinical day.
• Plan and coordinate patient assignments for each student.
• Demonstrate competency with nursing skills and associated technology.
• Participate in pre- and post-clinical activities with students in Canvas LMS.
• Conduct synchronous Zoom sessions with students.
