Job summary

National University in San Diego, CA seeks part-time faculty for Pediatrics clinicals in the BSN program. The successful candidate will teach at placement sites, provide timely feedback, and support student engagement across clinical experiences.

The role emphasizes excellence in teaching, service to a diverse adult student body, and collaboration with the Academic Program Director and other faculty to maintain program quality and student success.

Qualifications

• MSN from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• At least one year of clinical bedside nursing experience in Medical-Surgical & Geriatric Nursing within the last 5 years, or clinical teaching experience in the last 5 years.
• Current, unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions at clinical placement sites.
• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on assessments.
• Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete required tasks on deadlines (final grades, assessments, rubrics, etc.).
• Maintain professional training or scholarly activities when applicable.
• Provide course-content feedback to the course lead.
• Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
• Some indirect patient care may occur in skills/simulation labs.
