Job summary

National University is seeking a part-time faculty member to conduct Pediatric clinicals for the BSN program at Los Angeles placement sites. The role emphasizes delivering engaging clinical sessions, guiding students, and maintaining an inclusive learning environment for adult learners.

Qualified candidates will hold an MSN from a regionally accredited institution, possess a CA RN license, and have either direct pediatrics bedside nursing or RN-level teaching experience within the last 5 years.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least one year of continuous clinical bedside nursing experience in Pediatrics within the last 5 years as an RN providing direct patient care, OR at least one year of RN-level clinical teaching experience within the last 5 years.
• Must have a current, unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions at clinical placement sites.
• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on assessments.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, grade appeals).
• Maintain appropriate professional training or scholarly activities, when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding course content.
• Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
• Some indirect patient care in the skills and simulation lab.
