Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• BLS certificate on hire and kept current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and kept current.
• One year of supervisor experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years acute care nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume administrative responsibility for department service functions on shift.
• Make rounds to monitor care, oversee service quality and direct patient care activities.
• Directly supervise and support all staff across the hospital.
• Extend administrative scope in the absence of hospital leadership.
• Ensure efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
• Assist with scheduling after-hour procedures and standby staff.
• Orient temporary agency personnel per hospital policy.
• Enhance the patient/family experience through explanations of policies.
