Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a House Supervisor Registered Nurse to oversee department service functions on the shift, supervise staff, and monitor care quality. The role extends administrative authority when leadership is unavailable and supports patient flow and operational efficiency across the hospital.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and substantial acute care experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assumes administrative responsibility for management of all department service functions on shift.
• Makes rounds to monitor care delivery, quality of services and direct patient care activities as needed.
• Directly supervises and communicates with staff across the hospital.
• Extends administrative scope in absence of Hospital Administrative staff.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow across the facility.
• Provides direct patient care only as needed within scope of practice and competence.
• Deploys and orients temporary agency personnel per hospital policy.
• Assists medical staff with scheduling after-hour procedures and standby staff.
• Enhances patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies.
