Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to serve as House Supervisor, assuming administrative responsibility for all department services on the shift. You will supervise staff hospital-wide, ensure efficient operations, and assist after-hours procedures while maintaining patient flow and quality of care.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS on hire, ACLS within 30 days, and 3+ years acute care nursing; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS Certificate required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS Certificate required within 30 days and maintained.
• One year of supervisor experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years acute care nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• RN assumes administrative responsibility for all department services on shift.
• Make rounds to monitor care delivery, oversee service quality and direct patient care as needed.
• Supervise, support, and communicate with staff hospital-wide.
• Extend administrative scope in absence of Hospital Administration.
• Ensure efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
• Assist after-hours scheduling and standby call staff as needed.
• Enhance patient/family experience with explanations of hospital policies.
