Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT/CNA) for Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role supports physicians and delivers compassionate patient care across diverse medical conditions on a 12-hour night shift.

The position is part-time (24 hours) with shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., requiring weekend and holiday coverage on a rotating basis. A high school diploma, drug screening, and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification required (AMA or Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, fluids, elimination, bathing, dressing).
• Performs selected tasks such as patient transport, specimen collection, and distribution of linens and supplies.
• Provides care per hospital procedures ensuring patient safety and dignity.
• May perform secretarial tasks to aid unit flow.
• Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
