Night Shift Patient Care Technician-Multi-Skilled Support

Job summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to support a decentralized, patient-centered approach to care.

Hours are 36 per week on 3 twelve-hour night shifts, including weekends/holidays, paid hourly. Minimum training requires a High School Diploma; PCT II requires HS/GED and one of the listed qualifications. A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• PCT I requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PCT II requires HS/GED and ONE of the following: Associate or Bachelor's degree; 1 year work experience in a .6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS; 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility; Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals; Active enrollment in a healthcare related field; Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant Certification.
