Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor fluid intake and elimination.

• Deliver ice and beverages as directed.
• Perform patient transport and specimen collection.
• Support nurse and unit operations as assigned.

Description

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Patient Care Technician; PCT; CNA to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

What you will do

• Helps assigned patients with all activities of daily living. Personal hygiene
• Fluid intake, elimination
• Bathing and dressing
• Delivery of ice and beverages to patients as directed.
• Also perform selected tasks Patient transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• The Patient Care Tech also provides care according to hospital procedures in a manner that protects the safety and dignity of patients.
• The Patient Care Tech may also perform secretarial tasks to aid in the flow of the unit.
• Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required (AMA or Red Cross)

Schedule

Part-Time, 24 hours night shift 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.65

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
