Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 24 hours per week. The role supports patient care under a Nurse Leader, performing direct and indirect tasks to ensure safety and a positive patient experience.

Required: at least 1 year of experience, successful PCT orientation, and BLS certification within 60 days of hire. Preferred: HS diploma and CNA/CPCT/A/EMT/CMA eligibility for ladder advancement.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in patient care or a related role.
• Successful completion of PCT orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care under Nurse Leader supervision, including direct and indirect care tasks.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient care environment and positive patient experience.
• Assist with multi-priority tasks in a high-activity work setting and adapt to scheduling needs.
• Collaborate with the care team to uphold hospital standards and policies.
