Job summary

Home Sweet Home Ministries, Bloomington, IL, seeks a part-time floater for the 3rd shift (Thu-Sat, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) to support day-to-day client services. You will handle intake and exit processing, distribute resources, and ensure a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

The role requires flexibility, compassion, and the ability to work in a high-stress setting while upholding agency policies. Prior human services experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience in the human services field; trauma-informed preferred.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, evenings, and overnight hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task in a high-stress environment.
• Empathy, cultural competency, and Christ-centered focus.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake/exit paperwork and initial client screening.
• Orient residents and coordinate resource distribution.
• Manage front desk, greet clients, volunteers, donors.
• Check eligibility and enforce policies for safety.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing as required.
• Monitor building safety and security.
