Job summary

Allied Universal in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to provide customer service and maintain safety at a technology-focused site. You will monitor access, patrol premises, and respond to incidents in accordance with site procedures.

The role offers flexible weekend night shifts, training, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide security organization. A valid guard card/license and CPR certification are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Guard card/license and CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, workspaces, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.
