Job summary

Allied Universal in Suffolk, VA is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect client facilities and support access control at a technology-focused location. You will patrol, monitor entrances, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors while maintaining a visible, reassuring presence.

This role offers flexible day and night shifts, a $19.00 hourly pay rate, and opportunities to grow with our team through training and exclusive perks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation required.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in compliance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate according to protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, workspaces, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization as directed by site procedures; maintain documentation.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while deterring unauthorized access and staying aware of changing conditions.
