Allied Universal® in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observation to safeguard clients across tech/telecom environments. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

Access control and badge procedures are preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns and critical situations calmly, escalating according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises, parking areas and entrances to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify credentials as required by site policy, maintaining logs and incident documentation.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, guests and responding agencies to support a positive environment.
