Job summary

LB&B Associates Inc. seeks a part-time General Maintenance Worker for a contract role at a federal building in Huron, SD. The position supports operation and mechanical maintenance with a 20-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, within a 6:00am–5:00pm window.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of general maintenance experience, with skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work. OSHA/GSA safety rules must be followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of general maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work desired.
• Must follow safety standards and site rules (GSA/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical components, fixtures and receptacles as needed.
• Patch walls, repair sinks, water coolers and toilets.
• Paint floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Perform basic carpentry and door hardware repairs.
• Support HVAC tasks: filter changes and minor adjustments.
• Assist licensed trades and respond to work orders promptly.
• Maintain logs and follow site safety protocols.
