Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Salem, NH imaging team. The role involves performing MRI exams, preparing patients, selecting imaging protocols, and ensuring safety and high-quality diagnostic images under supervision.

You will collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to support efficient scanner utilization, patient care, and smooth exam flow. Prior MRI experience and ARRT/ARMRIT credentials are valued; this is a per diem, onsite daytime position

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Medical Imaging required.
• Associate’s degree in Medical Imaging preferred.
• MRI registration through ARRT or ARMRIT within one year of hire.
• ARRT MRI credential (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) preferred.
• ARMRIT MRI Technologist credential preferred.
• 0–1 year MRI technologist experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams for ambulatory and outpatient patients with high image quality.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and screening information per Joint Commission standards.
• Prepare and position patients, select imaging parameters and protocols.
• Acquire, process, display, and review images for diagnostic quality.
• Perform IV insertions and administer contrast when required.
• Educate patients on MRI safety and exam procedures.
• Follow MRI safety procedures and screen for implants and contraindications.
• Respond to equipment issues and patient safety concerns.
• Support daily department operations and scheduling coordination.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and staff to optimize scanner use.
