Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem MRI Technologist for Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Jamaica Plain. The role involves operating the MRI scanner under supervision, aligning protocols, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality images.

You will manage room workflow, review orders, perform venipuncture and IV contrast administration, position patients, prep equipment, and ensure timely PACS availability. Requires ARRT MR registry, Associate’s Degree, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved MRI program with an Associate’s Degree.
• Maintain a current ARRT MR registry and valid BCLS certification.
• Per diem MRI technologist with ability to work day hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner under supervision to obtain high-quality images.
• Review MRI orders, confirm scan protocol and indications.
• Perform venipuncture and administer IV contrast as required.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and ensure proper positioning.
• Control access to MRI zones and prep/clean equipment.
• Enter charges accurately in EMAR and ensure PACS availability.
