Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Salem, NH seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams for ambulatory and outpatient patients, ensuring diagnostic image quality and patient safety. The role requires preparing patients, selecting imaging protocols, acquiring and processing images, and supporting department operations in collaboration with radiologists and nurses.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Medical Imaging is required.
• Associate’s degree in Medical Imaging preferred.
• MRI registration through ARRT or ARMRIT within one year of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams for ambulatory and outpatient patients while maintaining diagnostic image quality and a safe care environment.
• Verify patient identity, exam orders, and screening information per Joint Commission standards.
• Prepare and position patients, select imaging parameters and protocols based on the exam and patient needs.
• Acquire, process, display, and review images for technical quality prior to radiologist interpretation.
• Perform IV insertions and administer contrast when required, monitor for adverse reactions, document in EMR.
• Educate patients on MRI safety, explain exam procedures, ensure patient understanding and comfort.
• Follow MRI safety procedures including implants screening and contraindications.
