Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Chesapeake, VA to deliver on-site protection with strong customer service. The role offers fixed shifts, plus the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, helping you increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

The position pays $18.21 per hour and supports a schedule with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation.
A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency responses when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications per Allied Universal and site requirements.
