Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Chesapeake, VA to deliver on-site protection with strong customer service. The position pays $18.21 per hour and supports a schedule with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency responses when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications per Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Chesapeake, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
