Job summary

Texas Co-op in Fredericksburg, TX seeks a part-time Member Services Associate to promote services and handle new connections, billing inquiries, and delinquency recovery. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in office management, business administration, secretarial administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of customer relations experience required.
• Continuing education in Microsoft Office software applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept applications for new and/or existing electric services, collect membership fees, deposits, trip fees, and coordinate connects/disconnects.
• Provide members with billing information, delinquent dates and charges, bill amounts, and collection dates in person, by phone, and by email.
• Create service orders for new service, termination of service, meter changes, disconnection and reconnection for non-pay, and other service requests.
• Assist members with energy use and identify opportunities for energy conservation.
• Design and communicate Deferred Payment Arrangements for members unable to pay.
• Update addresses and information on active and inactive accounts; assist with phones during outages.
