Job summary

Central Texas Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Clerk to promote services and assist members with inquiries, billing questions, and payments.

You will handle connections, disconnections, and deposits, while supporting energy use guidance and debt collection efforts in a busy office environment. The role involves preparing service orders, coordinating with departments, and participating in cooperative events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Associate degree in office management, business administration, secretarial administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of customer relations experience required.
• Continuing education in Microsoft Office software applications preferred.
• Strong computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Accept applications for new and/or existing electric services, collect membership fees, deposits, trip fees, and coordinate connects/disconnects.
• Provide members with billing information and collect payments in person, by phone or email.
• Create service orders for new service, termination, meter changes, disconnections and reconnections for non-pay.
• Aid members regarding energy use and energy conservation.
• Design and communicate Deferred Payment Arrangements for past due bills.
• Update addresses and information on active/inactive accounts and assist during outages.
• Prepare, analyze, and present data and reports; coordinate resources across departments.
