Job summary

San Diego County Credit Union Inc is seeking a Member Service Representative I to build meaningful relationships with members while delivering efficient, accurate and exceptional service. This role promotes Credit Union products and services and supports a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong listening, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve assigned goals and performance expectations.
• Successful completion of New Hire Training course and exam.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional member experience by consistently maintaining a positive and professional attitude while caring for members and resolving routine member questions.
• Accurately process routine member account transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wires, etc.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer; follow branch operations, policy and procedures and risk management requirements.
• Use strong communication skills to understand and clarify members’ financial needs, provide valuable options to assist members.
• Identify and offer products and services to members and/or refer the member to an appropriate representative or partner to meet their financial needs.
• Work with branch team members to achieve assigned personal and branch performance goals.
• Participate in credit union campaigns, contests, member outreach efforts, community/business development events.
• Adhere to credit union regulatory and compliance requirements including AML, BSA, OFAC, CTR, MISP.
