Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of banking experience or 2 years relevant finance experience or 6 months SDCCU member-facing work.
• Ability to identify and promote products and services.
• General knowledge of loan policies preferred.
• Demonstrated professional communication and organizational skills.
• College level math and financial calculation skills.
• Basic level computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Interview members to determine financial needs and assist in selecting appropriate products and services.
• Identify and offer products and services to meet financial needs and refer to appropriate representatives.
• Accurately record and track all member interactions, referrals and sales while maintaining policy and integrity.
• Provide an exceptional service experience; resolve member complaints quickly and accurately; respond to inquiries.
• Prepare documentation for new accounts, loans and card issuance; ensure adherence to policies.
• Ensure loan files are complete with comments and recommendations; relay loan decisions and terms to members.
• Provide timely closing of loans through follow-up on approvals.
• Participate in business development activities and branch initiatives.
• Support management and provide guidance to co-workers as directed by management.
• Participate in AML/BSA compliance training and adhere to policy including CTR rules.
