Job summary

Municipal Credit Union seeks a friendly Member Service Representative to deliver exceptional service at a high-volume branch. You will guide members through new accounts, loans, and digital tools, helping them achieve financial goals with accuracy and care.

The role emphasizes relation-building, cross-selling MCU products, and staying compliant with bank policies while collaborating with branch teams to drive growth and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Retail banking experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous branch experience preferred, including sales and service.
• Availability to work overtime and Saturdays is required.
• Ability to multi-task; good time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Technologically proficient.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Brand Ambassador and deliver excellent member service.
• Demonstrate professionalism and empathy during all member and team interactions.
• Process the opening and onboarding of new members, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Cross-sell appropriate MCU products/services to best-fit member needs.
• Drive Digital Adoption: educate members in digital banking tools.
• Perform account maintenance and servicing on existing accounts.
• Ensure proper documentation and signatures are obtained for all member interactions in compliance with MCU policy.
• Process loan applications and prepare for underwriting and closing.
• Meet or exceed branch sales and service goals.
• Travel to support staffing at other MCU branches as required.
• Assist with community engagement outreach programs.
