Job summary

The Caroline Family YMCA in Denton, MD is seeking a part-time Membership Services Associate. You will deliver excellent service to members and guests, promote memberships and programs, and help keep the lobby area clean and organized.

The role emphasizes member engagement, selling memberships, tours, and responding to member needs by phone and in person, with a focus on retention and a positive member experience at the Y.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
• Signs members and participants up for various programs and events.
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
