Job summary

YouFit Gyms is seeking a Part Time Member Experience Specialist in Miami to deliver outstanding member service, greet guests, and assist with accounts and memberships. You will manage check-ins, answer calls, and help retain members while promoting memberships and services.

The role emphasizes cleaning, safety, and a positive, energetic environment. You’ll also open/close shifts, process payments at the POS, and support events to strengthen community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English; multilingualism is a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage positively with members, guests, and prospects.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and use approved cleaning products safely and effectively.
• Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, including minor repairs and supply management.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency in handling transactions, balancing a cash drawer, and following cash-handling procedures.
• Ability to enforce gym policies professionally and resolve member concerns effectively.
• Basic computer skills for processing check-ins, updating accounts, and managing member interactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Outstanding Member Service - Create a welcoming environment and greet members using the 10/5 rule.
• Monitor Gym Access - Ensure active accounts, check-ins, and address member alerts at check-in.
• Handle Member accounts - Assist with account questions, updates, and issues in person or by phone.
• Answer and Direct Calls - Manage incoming calls, provide information, and route inquiries.
• Assist with Membership & Personal Training Retention - Engage with members considering cancelation and provide retention solutions.
• Perform Opening & Closing Duties - Open/close procedures to ensure readiness for members.
• Process Payments & Manage Cash Drawer - Handle POS transactions, balance cash drawer, and process services.
• Enforce Gym Policies & Maintain Standards - Ensure policy adherence and professional conduct.
• Assist with Gym Cleanliness - Maintain a clean facility via daily and deep cleaning tasks.
• Report Safety, Facility, or Equipment Concerns - Identify issues and report to management.
• Maintain Cleanliness of All Gym Areas - Keep restrooms, locker rooms, and spaces clean and sanitized.
• Clean & Sanitize Fitness Equipment - Wipe down cardio and strength equipment.
• Empty Trash & Restock Supplies - Manage waste and restock supplies.
• Clean & Maintain Flooring - Sweep, mop, and vacuum.
• Handle Emergency Cleaning - Respond to spills and biohazards promptly.
• Monitor & Report Cleaning Supply Levels - Track usage and request restocks.
• Ensure Proper Use of Cleaning Equipment & Chemicals - Use safely as per guidelines.
• Deliver an Engaging Gym Experience - Guide tours for prospects and transition to membership presentation.
• Support Events - Assist with member appreciation days and promotions.
