Job summary

Community Physicians Group is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant in Evanston, IL. You will work closely with physicians and staff to support outpatient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting with routine procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MA program completion, CMA/RMA preferred, CPR/BLS, and 1+ year outpatient experience. Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; MA program completed.
• CMA or RMA preferred; CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Proficient with EHR (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, record vital signs, and document in the EHR.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during routine exams and minor procedures.
• Collect and prepare basic lab specimens and record results in patient charts.
• Manage follow-up calls, communicate results, process prescriptions, and paperwork.
• Maintain safety, OSHA compliance, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
