Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support busy clinic operations. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with patient flow, and document vitals in Cerner while maintaining accurate front-end tasks and scheduling per policy.

Under supervision, you’ll perform basic lab work, register patients, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Eligibility includes high school diploma and MA program graduation after Oct 5, 2025; BLS certification

Formación

• AHA Basic Life Support cert required.
• TB test validated within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• OSHA/CLIA/ADA knowledge required.
• New hires after Oct 5, 2025 must graduate from a Medical Assistant program.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and third-party payers.
• Ability to master standard clinical competencies.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical flow.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information in Cerner.
• Perform registration and scheduling activities per procedures.
• Maintain EMR files and front office functions as needed.
• May precept MA team members or MA Externs as requested by leadership.
