Indiana University Health in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will administer vaccinations, perform screenings (BP, diabetes, cholesterol), educate patients, and support preventive health services.

You'll also handle front office tasks, EMR maintenance, and scheduling, with opportunities to precept MA team members and grow through the MA career ladder. Evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified in AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers.
• Current CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or CMAC certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administers vaccinations and injectable medications.
• Performs blood pressure screenings and monitoring.
• Conducts diabetes and cholesterol screenings and patient education.
• Provides preventive health screenings and wellness support services.
• Performs registration, scheduling, EMR maintenance, and front office tasks.
• Precepts MA team members as requested by leadership.
