Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant to support the primary care patient care delivery team in Topeka, Kansas. The role involves data collection, vitals, coordinating tests, and point-of-care testing under clinician direction.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, accurate vital recording, infection prevention, and effective communication with the care team. The position emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to Stormont Vail policies and remote-work

Competenze

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• Certification may substitute for education requirements (CMA, CMA, RMA, CNA, EMT, or PCT).

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicates pertinent data and information relative to the patient in a timely manner.
• Promotes infection prevention through standard precautions and proper wound care, dressing changes, and hand hygiene.
• Assists with activities of daily living and accurate measurement of weight, height, and vital signs.
• Delivers care guided by a caring approach, building respectful patient relationships.
• Supports ongoing education and enculturation of new Medical Assistants and students.
• Engages in lifelong learning and participates in evolving practice models.
