Job summary

Ampact powers Math Corps tutoring, placing AmeriCorps members in local schools to help students develop math skills. Tutors work with small groups for 20–30 minutes, following a structured schedule and collaborating with an onsite coach.

Positions run for the 2026-27 school year (August 2026–June 2027). Full-time AmeriCorps members receive an hourly paycheck, health insurance options, childcare assistance, and education benefits to support ongoing learning and service.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer use (email, basic software).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with HS diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for groups of students for 20–30 minutes.
• Follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
• Enter student scores into data software.
• Grow professionally through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
