Job summary

RFCUNY's Research Foundation of The City University of New York is seeking a motivated Part-Time Math Tutor for the Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. The Tutor will deliver high-quality one-to-one and small-group math tutoring, align instruction to NYS Regents (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry), and facilitate exam and SAT prep.

You will document attendance, track progress, and coordinate with teachers and counselors to address learning gaps,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience tutoring math to high school students is preferred.
• Strong commitment to educational equity and urban youth mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group math tutoring.
• Align curriculum to NYS Regents (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry).
• Facilitate NYS Regents exams, SAT math sections, and final exams.
• Document student attendance, log progress, and report to the LPP Director and school staff.
• Collaborate with high school teachers and guidance counselors to address learning gaps.
