Job summary

SUNY Sullivan is seeking a part-time LPP Tutor/Mentor to support middle and high school students through the Liberty Partnerships Program, including after-school, day school and summer activities.

The role involves tutoring, tracking progress, and helping students prepare for Regents exams, with some evening or weekend hours and a flexible schedule. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, negotiable by education and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to work with disadvantaged youth.
• Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge in specific academic subjects.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Evening or weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects and Regents exam preparation.
• Build supportive relationships, promote social-emotional growth, and act as a student advocate with teachers and counselors.
• Progress Tracking: Help create individual learning plans, monitor daily, monthly attendance. Submit required program documents.
