Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role (24 hours per week) in Illinois. The incumbent will operate mammographic equipment, optimize image quality at the lowest dose, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Required ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program, ARRT registration or eligibility, and strong knowledge of radiation safety. Prior mammography experience preferred; benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• ARRT registered or registry eligible.
• Ability to recognize needs and behaviors of diverse patient age groups.

Responsibilities

• Operate all mammographic equipment and optimize image quality with the lowest dose.
• Position patients and adjust technical factors for each exam.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report hazards.
• Maintain patient comfort and confidentiality during the exam.
• Collaborate with radiologists for film evaluation and interpretation.
