Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist for 20 hours per week located in Elgin, IL. The role requires ARRT certification and at least some Mammography experience.

The candidate will perform imaging, ensure quality, and support Radiologists with specialized procedures while maintaining patient care and safety standards. The position offers opportunities for additional offsite pickups and may require occasional Saturday coverage at the main hospital.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT certified.
• Minimum of one year Mammography experience preferred.
• Experience recognizing needs and behaviors across varied patient age groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines mammographic image quality using proper compression, technique and positioning.
• Positions patient and adjusts equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality films.
• Operates mammography equipment and PACS; supports Radiologists with stereotactic and needle localization exams.
• Performs daily phantom QC and adheres to safety practices.
• Assists in department leadership in the absence of the lead technologist and helps coordinate patient flow.
