Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. The role emphasizes accurate imaging, safety, and collaboration within a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities include performing exams per orders, QC checks, proper labeling in PACS/RIS, and clear patient communication. Experience in mammography and radiology is required, with ongoing education supported by Wellstar CareerCare.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience and 1 year in mammography.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, verifying patient identity.
• Review images for quality and complete documentation, aiming for first-time acceptance.
• Maintain PACS/RIS documentation and daily charge capture for procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and address patient questions or concerns.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and ensure equipment cleanliness and readiness.
