Job summary

Fairway Management is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to support our Smithville Properties. You will perform skilled maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and general upkeep to ensure resident satisfaction.

The role requires punctuality, strong time management, and proactive service with attention to detail. You’ll work with the Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent, and may travel for regional training as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC during unit turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain curb appeal and safety on site.
• Complete daily resident work orders and respond to after-hours calls as needed.
• Procure supplies from area vendors while operating a vehicle legally.
• Assist neighboring properties with maintenance tasks as required.
• Lead unit make-readies, including painting and carpet cleaning as needed.
• Participate in quarterly preventive maintenance checks and safety training.
