Job summary

The University of Delaware’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking dedicated individuals for the Edge Summer College Program as Part-Time Assistant Live-In Coordinators. The role is temporary for 3.5 weeks on Center Campus in Newark, DE, supervised by the Director and Assistant Director to maintain a safe, inclusive residential community.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, coordinating check-in/check-out, supporting mentors, and ensuring compliance with UD policies on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 2–3 years of experience working with minors in relevant settings preferred.
• Previous residential life/live-in staff leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the residential area during designated duty shifts.
• Assist Program Director with residence hall prep, check-in/out, and addressing student concerns.
• Liaise with peer staff and ensure undergrad mentors perform duties (evening activities, RA duty).
• Be available throughout the program, including chaperoning weekend trips.
• Uphold UD policies on protection of minors and ensure student safety and wellbeing.
