Job summary

University of Delaware's Residence Life & Housing seeks a Residence Hall Coordinator to lead living-learning communities and supervise a team of Resident Assistants. You will foster student engagement, safety, and academic success while coordinating operations across residence halls.

The role requires a master's degree and strong skills in crisis intervention, inclusion, and program development. You will work closely with UD offices to ensure high-quality living environments and learning

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education, student development, or related field is required.
• Experience with college student programming and staff supervision.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; ability to work with a diverse campus community.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Crisis intervention experience and ability to provide non-clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and facilitate a team of 9–19 Resident Assistants and related roles.
• Supervise staff performance appraisals and address personnel issues.
• Develop and implement living-learning community initiatives to promote student engagement and success.
• Coordinate openings/closings of residence halls and maintain safety and operational logistics.
• Manage budgets for the assigned area and monitor expenditures.
• Collaborate with UD Police, Facilities, and other offices to address safety and maintenance concerns.
• Serve on department committees and lead major initiatives to advance student learning.
