Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Head Cook for a part-time shift from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The role covers preparation, cooking and serving meals to residents, guests, and partners in a not-for-profit retirement community under strict sanitary conditions.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of cooking experience in a long-term care or similar setting, with a high school diploma or GED preferred. Attractive benefits and a strong team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 to 5 year’s cooking experience in LTC or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads menu to estimate food requirements.
• Prepares and cooks food in accordance with company standards.
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes, uses kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Bakes, roast, steams, broils, fries meats, fish, poultry, vegetables and other foods.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
