Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio is seeking a Part-time Line Cook/Head Cook to join our dedicated team at a not-for-profit retirement community. You will prepare and serve meals to residents, guests, and partners under strict sanitary conditions, supporting a high standard of person-centered care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, quality cooking, and adherence to recipes while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Shift runs 11:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years cooking experience in LTC or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads menu to estimate food requirements and procures food from storage.
• Prepares and cooks food in accordance with company standards.
• Measures and mixes ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Bakes, roasts, steams, broils, fries meats, fish, poultry, vegetables and other foods.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Coordinates work with other food service employees to prevent waste and utilize overproduction.
• Replenishes food and items for service line.
