Job summary

Intersect Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care for residents and coordinate total nursing care with the nursing leadership team.

You will participate in developing care plans, monitor residents, administer medications per physician orders, and collaborate with CNAs, physicians, DON, and administration. The role requires a current Michigan LPN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a licensed practical nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement interventions and develop Care Plans.
• Document observations and follow through on Care Plans in PCC.
• Administer medications according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Provide wound care, IV therapy, Foley catheter care, and other treatments as needed.
• Monitor residents and assist CNAs with daily care and comfort needs.
• Coordinate with physicians, DON, and administration for emergencies and changes in condition.
