Job summary

The role includes rounds with physicians, implementing care plans, administering medications, and supervising CNAs while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Strong organizational skills, CPR, and Michigan LPN licensure are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a licensed practical nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to nursing in long-term care.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement interventions and develop care plans.
• Record resident observations accurately and follow through on care plans.
• Administer medications to residents according to policies and physician orders.
• Coordinate with physicians, DON, and administrator; notify of contraindications.
• Supervise CNAs and assist with resident care needs.
• Ensure timely scheduling of appointments, therapy, and consults.
