Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Leave of Absence Specialist for a flexible, part-time role (~25 hours/week) to guide employees through FMLA, ADA, and state leaves with a people-first approach. You will serve as the primary contact for employees navigating medical or personal leave and ensure smooth, compliant operations.

The role emphasizes compassionate, timely communication, accurate leave recordkeeping, and collaboration with People Operations to resolve issues and maintain multi-state compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in leave administration, benefits, or HR compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, State Paid Leave regulations and interactive processes.
• Empathetic communication, high organization, and proficiency with HRIS tracking systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leave Management from intake to return-to-work, guiding employees and supervisors.
• Facilitate compliance and interactive dialogue under FMLA, ADA, and state laws.
• Communicate compassionately and accurately with staff during sensitive events.
• Maintain leave records, track entitlements, and manage benefit invoicing.
• Collaborate with People Operations to ensure multi-state compliance.
