Job summary

The Republic at Sam Houston community in Huntsville, TX, managed by Yugo, is seeking a part-time Community Assistant to handle leasing, marketing, and resident relations. You will manage rentals, move-ins, lease renewals, and generate leads, reporting to the Property Manager.

You’ll greet prospects, process applications, deposits, and lease paperwork, while supporting marketing efforts and maintaining property standards. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Relative experience in an administrative role.
• Great customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to be proactive with problem-solving and initiative.
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks regularly.
• Intermediate skills in using MS Office and online systems/databases.
• Resilience and adaptability with cultural diversity awareness.
• Open communication with General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Availability to work 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective clients, conduct property tours, and showcase features.
• Complete applications, secure deposits, and process lease paperwork for move-ins/outs.
• Handle calls and in-person inquiries, maintain guest cards, follow up with prospects.
• Prepare and submit applications for approval, ensure apartments are ready for move-in.
• Assist with lease renewals, accept payments, support marketing and sales.
• Support marketing and sales initiatives, maintain market information, participate in leasing meetings.
• Update reports, monitor market conditions, provide insights for improvements.
• Manage service requests, plan resident events, maintain commission records.
• Participate in outreach marketing, maintain community appearance, enforce policies.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
