Job summary

CSN is seeking part-time tutors for the Centers for Academic Success to help students clarify learning challenges, strengthen study skills, and reinforce course material. Tutors work up to 20 hours per week, with a combined limit if also employed elsewhere.

Responsibilities include tutoring in person or online, reviewing materials, and supporting classroom learning with effective study strategies. A faculty recommendation enhances candidacy.

Qualifications

• 12 undergraduate hours completed with GPA ≥ 3.0 (transcripts required).
• Earned a B or higher in the subject you wish to tutor.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse students.
• Knowledge of effective study strategies for tutoring sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students as an employee of Centers for Academic Success.
• Help students improve academic achievement in person or online and reinforce course material.
• Review class material, discuss reading strategies, predict potential exam questions, and help with papers.
